About Kara

While Kara is originally from Maryland, she grew up spending her Summers and Winters here on the Outer Banks with her extended family. Now having lived here in Kill Devil Hills for 14 years, she's truly an Outer Banks expert. With long lineage to Lighthouse Keepers, Charter Boat Captains and Duck Decoy artists, Kara's family history on this island dates back into the early 1700s. Kara earned her broker license in 2015 and has been a member of the Outer Banks Association of REALTORS since 2012. She also actively serves on the Professional Standards and Grievance Committees since 2012.
